Fauna Marin Dino X: The Ultimate Solution for Dinoflagellates and Nuisance Algae

Reclaim the beauty of your reef tank with Fauna Marin Dino X, a powerful and highly effective liquid algaecide specifically formulated to combat the most stubborn "plague" algae. Whether you are battling a nightmare dinoflagellate outbreak or unsightly hair algae, Dino X targets the problem at its source without destabilizing your delicate marine ecosystem.

Unlike general algaecides, Dino X is engineered specifically for saltwater aquariums. It works by inhibiting the metabolism of algae—specifically targeting nutrient absorption—causing them to die off while remaining harmless to beneficial bacteria when used as directed.

Why Choose Fauna Marin Dino X?

• Targeted Elimination: Highly effective against Dinoflagellates, Gold Algae, Hair Algae, Bubble Algae, Bryopsis, and Derbesia.
• Reef Safe Formula: Designed to be safe for fish, corals, and invertebrates when following the strict dosing protocol.
• System Stability: Does not affect your biological filtration or nitrogen cycle.
• Pure Results: Free from phosphates and nitrates, ensuring you aren't adding "algae fuel" to your water during treatment.

How It Works

Dino X disrupts the metabolic processes of various algae species. It is particularly potent against dinoflagellates, which often resist traditional nutrient-control methods. By dosing in the evening—after the main lights are off—the treatment hits algae when their photosynthetic activity is dormant, maximizing the product's efficacy.

Dosage & Application Instructions

To achieve the best results and ensure the safety of your livestock, please follow these guidelines carefully:

1. Dose: Add 5 ml per 100 liters (26 gallons) of aquarium water every 2 days. For heavy infestations, the dose can be increased to 6 ml per 100 liters.
2. Timing: Always dose in the evening or 1 hour after the main lights have turned off.
3. Lighting: Limit the main lighting phase to a maximum of 6 hours daily during treatment.
4. Skimming: Run your protein skimmer 24/7 and set it to "wet" skimming.
5. Restrictions: * NO water changes during the treatment period.
   1. NO ozone, activated carbon, or GFO/PO4 removers.
   2. NO dosing of trace elements, mineral salts, or amino acids.
6. Post-Treatment: Resume water changes one week after the final dose. Run high-quality activated carbon (like Fauna Marin Carb L) immediately after the treatment ends to remove any residual toxins.

Important Safety Information

• Identify Your Pest: Dino X is not a treatment for Cyanobacteria (for Cyano, use Fauna Marin Red X).
• Manual Removal: For heavy infestations, manually siphon out as much algae as possible before starting treatment. Dying algae can release toxins; minimizing the biomass reduces the risk to your livestock.
• Sensitive Species: Sea urchins, sea hares, and some mollusks can be sensitive to the treatment. It is recommended to remove these inhabitants to a separate system during the treatment period.
• Professional Strength: This is a potent biocidal product. Always calculate your water volume accurately to avoid overdosing.
